OGDEN, Utah (May 19, 2016) – You’ve never seen a dog treat truck like this before. From the oversized dog bone and paw, to the lighted elements and retro look, it’ll be love at first sight.
Dog enthusiasts can check out the Good Stuff Pet Truck on May 20 in Seattle and on May 22 in Portland, Ore. Free dog treats and tips from an area dog training expert await canines and their humans when this new, eye-catching dog lover’s truck rolls into Seattle’s Lower Woodland Park and Portland’s Hondo Dog Park.
A custom truck made just for dogs, the Good Stuff Pet Truck is stopping in cities across America this spring and summer to help educate pet owners about their dogs’ ideal weights and using positive reinforcement dog training to ensure their animals enjoy deliciously balanced lives.
Pet parents who stop by the Good Stuff Pet Truck may participate in free training demos and Q&A sessions with a local dog trainer. Visitors also will find a fun backdrop for a photo opp in the backyard-styled doggy lounge, complete with “grass” and picket fence. Pictures can be shared via Twitter and Instagram using #GoodStuffPetTruck.
The trainer will discuss and demonstrate how dogs learn best through positive reinforcement, which teaches them desirable behaviors. Rewarding dogs with small treats and praise for things we want them to do motivates them to repeat those behaviors.
“When dogs are fit and trained using positive reinforcement, they’re happier dogs,” said Pet Expert Steve Dale, a certified animal behavior consultant, syndicated pet columnist and radio host. “If they’re overweight – and more than half of dogs in the United States are carrying extra pounds – they’re more likely to develop health issues like type 2 diabetes, heart disease and even cancer.”
American Pet Nutrition, makers of Vita Bone® Dog Biscuits and the new Supreme Source® grain-free dog food, sponsors the Good Stuff Pet Truck Tour. Dog owners can learn more at www.GoodStuffPetTruck.com and follow the tour at #GoodStuffPetTruck. See details below for the Pacific Northwest events.
