Landlord Rose Mary Skoda-Kempton, also known as Brooke Kempton in a dispute with her tenant Kate Taylor, kidnapped Taylor’s dog Isis and refused to tell authorities where the dog was even after being arrested.

She was booked on charges of third-degree robbery and first-degree theft at Marion County jail and later released, but she did not disclose Isis’s whereabouts.

The Statesman Journal reports that “Marion County deputies received a tip that the dog was at a residence in the Portland area. Officers from the Portland Police Bureau checked on the home and spotted Isis inside the residence. A man holding the dog surrendered her to police, and deputies worked to bring her home.”
